In the summer of 2019, the Hungarian Reformed Charity Service reached a significant milestone. After the foundation’s four offices in Hungary – located in Budapest, Debrecen, Ózd and Vásárosnamény – we opened our newest office in Transylvania.

The Kőhalm Reformed Parish and the Orphanage is participating in the work of the CC as a contracted partner, and the Transylvanian Foundation’s tasks will be carried out with the involvement of local volunteers. The primary task of the new office is to fundraise and coordinate the distribution of donations.

With the office maintained by the Kőhalm Reformed Church, we have a dual goal. On the one hand, we would like to strengthen the Hungarians living here and assure them that they can count on us, their Hungarian brothers and the Hungarian Reformed Charity Service. On the other hand, we want to promote the peaceful coexistence of the Romanian and Hungarian populations living here, by donating to those who need it, regardless of their national or religious affiliation.
